The Bar-Kays: The Finest Of is a compilation album by the American soul and funk band The Bar-Kays, launched in 1976. The album options a few of the band’s hottest songs, together with “Soul Finger,” “Son of Shaft,” and “Holy Ghost.”
The Bar-Kays had been shaped in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1962. The band’s authentic lineup included James Alexander (guitar), Ronnie Caldwell (bass), Phalon Jones (drums), and Ben Cauley (trumpet). The Bar-Kays shortly grew to become probably the most well-liked stay bands within the Memphis space, and so they quickly caught the eye of Stax Information. In 1967, the band signed with Stax and launched their debut album, Soul Finger.
